Cakes, Cakes, Cakes

I love baking cakes!
What I love the most?
Baking and decorating the birthday cakes for my little prince and little princess.
This year was much more special as my little prince wanted to help me out.
So..here's our team effort.

Laksa...

Heard of Laksa King?

Now...this is a one-dish meal which is very popular amongst my friends and family, especially now during winter time.  The chilli really warms the body. In my household, we like 2 types of laksa...the assam laksa and the laksa lemak.  Today, my other half suggested that we cook the 2nd one...laksa lemak which is rich with coconut milk.

We went to the local market and bought our ingredients. You'll be amazed what one can find there. We even found laksa leaves...hmmm, without this leaves, laksa will not be laksa at all.

We got our ingredients prepared.  Boiled the prawns in a pot of water. Remove the prawns shells and set aside. Fry the paste till its fragrant and add in dried shrimps. Pour the whole paste into the prawn stock. Bring to boil. Add in coconut milk and let it simmer. Add in your seasonings and tou pok. That's it...time to makan!!!
